The latest TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout took Norwalk, Ohio, by storm June 9-12, 2022, during the NMRA Ford Performance Nationals at the Summit Motorsports Park.

Three times a year in Bradenton, Florida; Norwalk, Ohio; and Bowling Green, Kentucky, Ford enthusiasts have the chance to compete in the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout. The shootout is a specialty event within TorqStorm Superchargers True Street that’s designed to be an all-out race for street-legal Ford owners who run a manual transmission. TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout Returns to NMRA True Street Racing in 2022

The TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout is back for another season of shift-your-own-gears excitement! TREMEC and the NMRA want 2022 to be the best season yet for True Street racers and stick shift enthusiasts.

The Ford modular V8 engine family debuted to the world with a lot of controversy, but it quickly matured and, thanks to the power-enhancing magic of boost, it now powers Mustangs of various generations to neck-snapping speeds and elapsed times (E/Ts) at the dragstrip. The performance success of these engines and their large following led to the creation of the Mod Nationals in 2013. It took many years and a lot testing and tuning, but Bob Myers of Greensburg, Pennsylvania, finally captured his first TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout championship with his turbo 1984 Mercury Capri. It happened during a wild weekend of drag racing – and weather – at the 2021 Holley NMRA World Finals & Holley Ford Festival at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which was held from September 30-October 3.
