This isn’t a new prospect – we’ve been designing and manufacturing transmissions since we got into the business in 1964.

Today – and as it’s been for a number of years – you can shift a TREMEC transmission in 2020 models from Dodge, Ford, and Chevy. TREMEC gearboxes are even being engineered for super-quick shifting at the track and on the street via computer-controlled synchronization, such as our double-clutch transmission (DCT). 2020 Events Where You Can Visit the TREMEC Display

The TREMEC trailer will be racking up the miles during the 2020 event season, visiting 20 different states from coast to coast. This includes popular events like the Holley LS Fest, long hauling it with the scores of TREMEC-equipped vehicles on Hot Rod Power Tour, hitting the trails in scenic Moab, Utah, for Easter Jeep Safari and rockin’ it in our backyard at the Woodward Dream Cruise. 2020 TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout

You can brag about how you’re great at driving manual transmission and being a third pedal master – or you can prove it by entering the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout at the 2020 NMRA Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton, Florida, February 27 through March 1, 2020.

Manual transmission cars competing in the NMRA’s most popular racing class, True Street, are eligible for the 26th annual TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout. Open to anyone with a street-legal Ford vehicle with a Ford powerplant, True Street lets competitors enjoy the thrill of drag racing in a safe environment. 2019 TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout Bowling Green NMRA

NMRA True Street is one of the most fun classes in drag racing today. It embodies the spirit of street-legal Ford performance and offers enthusiasts the chance to compete in a safe and exciting environment.Winners are crowned in a variety of performance levels. And twice a year, True Street racers get the chance to show their stuff in the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout.

The TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout is a true test of performance for those choosing three pedals, with fantastic prizes and bragging rights at stake. In order to be eligible to run in the Shootout, a True Street competitor must have a street-style manual transmission (face-plated and pro-shifted are allowed). TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout Winner, Yandro Ulloa’s 1996 SVT Cobra Mustang

The 1996 SVT Cobra Mustang was a groundbreaking machine that ushered in the era of DOHC performance for Ford. The 305-horsepower mod-motor Cobra provided a huge jump in performance over the 215-horsepower Mustang GT. It could rev cleanly to 7,000 rpm and sounded amazing, and a good pilot could row the gears into the mid-13s. Shifting Gears to Glory at the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout

One of the coolest and most challenging events on the NMRA (National Mustang Racers Association) tour is the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout. The most recent event was held at the 25th Annual Nitto NMRA Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton, Florida, February 28 – March 3.

To qualify, racers must compete in the QA1 True Street class, which involves completing the 25-mile road tour, then making a trio of runs. Anyone can claim to be the best stick shift driver when it comes to drag racing. Just like anyone can say that their car is the quickest. But until the win light comes on and the trophy is hoisted, those are just empty words.

That’s why TREMEC, together with the National Mustang Racers Association (NMRA), created the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout seven years ago. The first of two TREMEC Stick Shift Shootouts in 2019 will take place at the 25th Annual Nitto NMRA Spring Break Shootout in Bradenton, Florida, February 28 – March 3.
