Following the success of the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout at Camaro Fest 2026, only two TREMEC Stick Shift Shootouts remain this season. After an all-GM F-body showdown featuring TREMEC-equipped Camaros and Firebirds battling down the quarter-mile, the series features Ford competitions starting with Mustang Week 2026 in Charlotte, August 24-29 (drag racing at zMAX Dragway), followed by Holley Ford Fest at Beech Bend Raceway, October 2-3.

Both of these remaining shootouts are open to Ford-bodied, Ford-powered vehicles equipped with an H-pattern manual transmission, whether it’s a TREMEC transmission or another manufacturer’s.

For 2026, Mustang Week moves inland from the Carolina coast to Charlotte and the grounds of zMAX Dragway, bringing a whole new level of Mustang excitement. The new venue also marks the first drag racing competition in Mustang Week history, with the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout taking place as part of the True Street class using a format similar to other True Street-based shootouts.

Open to all vehicles competing in True Street with an H-pattern manual transmission and foot-actuated clutch, the 10 quickest manual transmission competitors will receive special TREMEC awards. The quickest four competitors will then advance to a winner-take-all heads-up shootout on a .400 pro tree for the chance to win a brand-new TREMEC TKX 5-speed transmission.

The 2026 TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout season wraps up October 2-3 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky, during Holley Ford Fest 2026.

For this event, the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout will compete as a stand-alone class separate from True Street. Eligible competitors may also enter the True Street class with the purchase of a separate True Street entry.

the purchase of a separate True Street entry.
The shootout will feature two eight-car fields:
• Street Stick (vehicles running 10.00-second E.T.s and slower)
• Pro Stick (vehicles running 9.99-second E.T.s or quicker)
Both classes will compete in heads-up eliminations using a .400 pro tree, with pairings determined by random chip draw.
Competitors will receive three qualifying passes to earn a spot in the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout classes.

To discourage sandbagging during qualifying, a 0.10-second breakout rule will be enforced. Any competitor who runs 0.10 second or more quicker during eliminations than their quickest qualifying pass will be disqualified.

The payout for both classes is:

  • Winner: $1,000
  • Runner-up: $250
  • Semi-finalists: $100
