TREMEC has partnered with one of its Elite Distributors, American Powertrain, to give long haulers on the 2022 HOT ROD Power Tour the chance to win a new TREMEC T-5 5-speed, TKX 5-speed or Magnum 6-speed transmission, along with a complete installation kit from American Powertrain.
The caravan of horsepower that will be the 28th HOT ROD Power Tour begins June 13 at Liberty Park in Memphis and ends June 17 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Thousands of automotive enthusiasts will drive for five days across the American South. Special police escorts are arranged ahead of time to help control traffic and keep things moving in an orderly fashion! Power Tour travels mostly on backroads to avoid interstate highways wherever possible. In 2022, stops will take place in Nashville; Hoover, Alabama; and Pensacola, Florida, ending in Georgia. Event details and registration info can be found HERE.
“It’s amazing to see the huge variety of cars and trucks on Power Tour each year, and the ever-increasing number of TREMEC–equipped vehicles at every stop and in the long-hauler group,” explained Mike Kidd, TREMEC’s Aftermarket Business Manager. “We appreciate all the different makes and models with a TREMEC transmission.”
The crew from American Powertrain will be in the TREMEC display trailer at every Power Tour stop. “People come by to check out our displays of cutaway transmissions and talk with the experts about making their vehicle TREMEC–equipped,” added Kidd. Long haulers can also get their raffle ticket for the transmission giveaway at the TREMEC display trailer.
“We are excited to once again partner with TREMEC on the HOT ROD Power Tour and offer long haulers a chance to win a complete TREMEC 5- or 6-speed transmission and American Powertrain conversion package,” said Matt Graves, American Powertrain’s Marketing Manager. “Once people experience the pleasure of driving a classic car or truck with a modern 5- or 6-speed manual transmission, they know it’s the only way they want to go.”
In addition to this giveaway, representatives from Skip Barber Racing School traveling with TREMEC during the HOT ROD Power Tour, driving their 1967 Camaro equipped the all new TREME TKX 5-speed transmission. Skip Barber uses the Camaro to teach the younger generation how to drive a manual transmission equipped vehicle. Skip Barber will also be giving away a one-day racing school to one lucky long hauler!
