2024 New Cars with Manual Transmission

You may believe that finding a new car or truck with a manual transmission is tough, but this guide to what models still have a stick shift available in 2024 shows that there are more than you might think.

The last of the manual transmission small/midsize pickups is the Toyota Tacoma 4×4. Like the last cowboy still riding fence in the old west. But there are still some options to be found in the car ranks to give drivers who enjoy having that third pedal what they desire in a new vehicle. Plus, Jeep still offers a manual transmission in the 2024 Wrangler and Gladiator.

Here’s our list 2024 vehicles available with a manual transmission. We’ve kept the list as “real world” as possible, no super cars or lottery-winning-required types of cars.

Cadillac

If you enjoying shifting your own gears while surrounded by luxurious comfort, Cadillac has what you want. Best of all, its TREMEC equipped! The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing series offers a TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission so you can enjoy the high-winding twin-turbo V6 under the hood. Or, if you splurge, the CT5-V Blackwing comes with a 6.2L supercharged V8 that’ll keep you firmly pressed into the bolstering of the leather-wrapped driver’s seat.

Ford Mustang

With the Camaro once again leaving the GM lineup, the Ford Mustang is the only pony car option available in 2024. To get a manual transmission with the Mustang buyers must choose to go with a V8 equipped model, as the manual option has been dropped for the 2.3L Ecoboost-equipped models. But with the V8 you get to make the most of the stick-shift driving experience, from the regular Mustang GT to the special edition Dark Horse which is equipped with the TREMEC TR-3160 6-speed.

Jeep

With the departure of the Dodge Charger and Challenger from the Chrysler/Stellantis lineup, the only vehicle left with a manual transmission is the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator.

Subaru

The performance Subaru WRX and BRX models still offer a manual transmission for people who want to really enjoy the all-wheel-drive experience those Boxer-powered cars deliver.

BMW

While bringing BMW into the conversation pushes our realistic budget mindset to the limit, the M-series line the Bavarian Motor Works produces still offers a manual transmission to make full use of the M-series power and handling upgrades.

Toyota

A Toyota dealership gives manual transmission seekers multiple options for finding a new 2024 car with a stick. The GR Corolla, GR 86 and GR Supra all offer a manual transmission. In fact, for the GR Corolla, a stick shift it is the only transmission available, pairing up with a blast-from-the-past turbo three-cylinder 1.6L engine.

Nissan

For new manual transmission-equipped cars, Nissan takes the title for offering the lowest cost stick option with the Nissan Versa that comes in under $20,000 MSRP. From there you have the Nissan 370Z coupe that offers a manual transmission and the top of the line performance GT-R, although that last model comes with a price in the six-figure range.

Acura

The Acura Integra has a long history of performance with a manual transmission, and in 2024 you can still get the sporty Integra with a 6-speed manual that has a rev-matching feature. The base Integra has a 200-horsepower 1.5L turbo four-cylinder engine, but if you step up to the Integra Type S you get a 320-horsepower 2.0L turbo.

Volkswagen

Coming in with a solid and legit affordable lineup of manual-transmission-equipped vehicles is Volkswagen. The Jetta, Jetta GLI, Golf R and Golf GTI models all have 6-speed manual transmissions paired with various turbo four-cylinder engines.
