The PriuSRT8, as it is called, features an NHRA-approved tube chassis holding a Mopar Hellcat crate engine. The package was augmented by a 4.5L Whipple supercharger and a TREMEC Magnum 6-speed transmission. This also provided the impetus to make the PriuSRT8 rear-wheel drive with a Ford 9-inch Ford rear.
