The TR-4050 transmission features single- and double-cone synchronizers with carbon friction material and five fully synchronized forward gears, so double-clutching will be a thing of the past on older, heavy-duty trucks. For additional strength and stability, the input, main and counter shafts are equipped with heavy-duty tapered roller bearings.
